This magnificent black gabardine coat from Gianni Versace features a double-breasted design with a fitted waist and a very full skirt in back. It has medium-wide lapels with a notched collar, medium shoulder pads, and a flap pocket on each hip. The black buttons are covered with gold-tone metal filagree. The coat tapers at the waist, which accentuates the extremely full skirt on the back of the coat. The total sweep around the bottom of the coat is 96" - 28" in front and 68" in back - even fuller than it appears to be in the last photo before the label. Labeled 100% wool. This label places the coat in the late '80s to early '90s. There is no size label, but measurements indicate that it is closest to a modern size 8. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size and compare with a similar garment that fits you.* For an overcoat without a size label, we deduct about three-four inches from the actual chest and waist measurements to determine size. If this coat were worn as a dress, the estimated size would be 10.
