  YSL lovers! For your dress collection, a beautiful wool crepe shirtwaist long sleeve dress, tag size F 42 in overall near-excellent pre-owned condition. Original retail unknown. **PLEASE NOTE** Dress is in lovely pre-owned condition though you will notice one of the button-like snap covers is missing. There are a couple of ways to remedy this and it should be a relatively easy repair.  As to the length ~ this will depend on your height. Estimated to fall somewhere between knee-length and just below-the-knee. Apologies for any color variation from photo to photo. This wonderful black wool crepe fabric somehow posed some challenges with the lighting I had to work with. Rest assured it is a good true black hue, uniform throughout, no fading or discoloration. Actual tone may differ slightly depending on screen which you are viewing upon. Feel free to message me with questions if you have any concerns whatsoever.  DESCRIPTION - From the YSL EDITION 24 line which was launched in summer of 2008. This limited elevated diffusion collection features vintage-inspired modern classics which successfully honor the SAINT LAURENT heritage and its high standard of quality. If tag is read correctly, this piece was produced in 2011.  Elegant, feminine and reminiscent of decades past. This is an unlined shirtwaist style dress, constructed of pure wool crepe and very well tailored in Slovakia.  Bodice features a small collar as well as a functional snap front placket with faux round black acetate buttons adhered to snaps. There is also a side zipper closure for added convenience and ease. Bodice has a pair of of deftly curved patch pockets which appear to be hand sewn and have no topstitching. Bodice gently gathers at natural waist into a knife pleated skirt.  Pleats are stitched down at hip area for the first 7 3/4”. Back of dress has a yoke at shoulder area which back bodice panel gathers into. Waist area of back panel is seamed evenly with skirt, plain/aligned ~ not gathered in the way the front is. Sleeves gather at the shoulder then gently gather into 2 1/2” cuffs which repeat the buttoned cover snaps.  SIZE - Tag Size French 42 ~ Converts to US 10 (See Measurements) FABRIC - 100% Wool   CONDITION - Overall near-excellent pre-owned, minimal indication of previous light/gentle wear. Clean, no visible holes or rips. As noted above, there is a missing faux button cover on front placket. Snap itself remains fully functional. Apart from that, honestly quite lovely.    MEASUREMENTS - taken both flat across as well as around where applicable. Please read below to ensure your very best fit. Always wise to measure one of your own similar dresses which fits well and compare your measurements to the measurements provided. SHOULDER - 15” (seam to seam)  BUST - 20.25” flat (armpit to armpit) - 40.5” around WAIST - approx. 16” flat - 32” around (depending on your height) *measured across seam which joins bodice to skirt* HIPS - approx. 20” flat - 40” around (depending on your height) BODICE LENGTH - (measured from shoulder at neckline to seam at waistline in front) SKIRT LENGTH - 23.25” (measured from seam at waistline to lower edge of hem in front) SLEEVE LENGTH - 24” (measured from armhole seam at shoulder to lower edge of cuff) My ethic is to describe honestly, accurately and in as much detail as possible.
