The sleeves are semi-sheer and the dress has a thin black lining.  Measurements of the dress while laying flat and not tugged: Armpit to armpit: 19" - it's meant to have flow Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: about 15" Sleeve length: 26" these have elastic banding at the bottom to match the waist of the dress The waist of the dress has 2" of gathered elastic stitching. The dress is too big for me and it falls off my waist, it's not a terrible look but not quite right.  Dress length (measured from the button in the back and straight down): 36" Please ask questions prior to buying.
