A superb pair of skis for deep Japanese or Canadian powder, or indeed anywhere it's deep and you want to ski fast and float well. The waist is almost wider than tip and tail so it's very easy to release the tail and slide sideways. The tips of the skis are round and the reverse camber is massive - probably bigger than any other ski on the market at the moment. The end result is a long, floaty ski that skis much 'shorter' than it looks. It's lighter than it would appear as well, being part-carbon, so touring is pretty reasonable for a ski that moves so nicely. Skins are included: G3 Minimalist. The bindings are Salomon Shift 10s - they feel stiff on the downhill whilst not being too heavy when ascending. The performance is almost as good as an alpine binding and also have a full DIN release and only add a moderate amount of weight. These skis were previously drilled for Marker Kingpins so still have the (plugged) holes which can be reused of course. The current arrangement is for a BSL 335mm. Shifts have a total of 30mm adjustment at the heel so BSL 320-350mm. Alternatively, Shift2 10s are available, brand-new, for an extra £120. These skis were purchased for a Japan trip that lasted two weeks and have not been used since. They were originally mounted for Marker Kingpins as mentioned but now have Salomon Shift 10 bindings with Quiverkiller inserts - screws etc included, as well as a storage box. QKs are a great bit of kit which allow the bindings easily to be removed for storage or for flights, as well permitting a single pair of bindings to be shared between several pairs of skis. The bases are immaculate and have been storage-waxed. The black rubber piece in the middle is to mount a Resqski device which can be purchased separately.
