DESCRIPTION This is a lovely vintage cocktail dress from the 1940s. The material content is not listed, but it feels like wool to me, and it is black with an oversized collar done in ivory white.  The collar is accented with embroidery and sparkly rhinestones.  The dress is sleeveless, and it has a fitted, hourglass cut to it. The dress closes with a metal side zipper, and it has two front pockets on the skirt.  SIZING There are no size tags on this item, but I believe it would best fit a size Small.  The actual measurements are as follows: Bust: 18.5 inches across, underarm to underarm (37 inches around) Waist:  13 inches across (26 inches around) Hips: 19.5 inches across (39 inches around) Length: 45 inches down the center of the back, starting from the base of the collar  Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around.   CONDITION This item is in very good vintage condition.  I did notice a couple faint marks on the collar (see last picture for example), but this is a minor flaw that shouldn't really be noticeable when the dress is worn!
