Description This is a beautiful and authentic Ni'ihau shell lei necklace. This is a lei necklace tied in the mixed kipona pikake (jasmine flower) style. This lei consists of kahelelani (leptothyra verruca) in flower pink (‘ākala pua), medium pink (‘ākala ‘āhiehie), medium hot pink (‘ākala ‘āhiehie) and dark hot pink (ākala wai pāpipi). Momi shell (euplica varians) in white (ke‘oke‘o maika‘i) and light stripe (ke‘oke‘o kua‘ula). Very good luster medium color saturation. Graduated shells ranging from medium to large. Mixed kahelelani colors. Finished with a yellow gold fish hook clasp stamped “14K”. Total length is 24.50 inches. It is in good condition but is pre-owned. It may need a light cleaning, clasp may be slightly tarnished and may need re-stringing. Glue may be slightly yellowed. It appears all shells are intact. Comes with a printed appraisal.  This item was made in Hawaii, and is at least 80% Niihau shell.
