Otherwise, non-insulated and tech apparel items are great pieces for building layering system's. DWR is a water resistant treatment. It does not make the fabric waterproof to the level of a nylon or Gore-Tex fabric. So if you are planning on being in storm weather, we recommend a fabric with a higher water resistance rating or that is made of GORE-TEX.
